Availability over the Easter holidays…

#UELGetReadyJust a quick post to let you know that I will be out of the office quite a lot over the next two weeks. From 7-10th April I will be in Newcastle attending the Lilac conference – an annual conference for librarians that explores issues related to information literacy. I’ll probably tweet the odd nugget from the conference from time to time and you can follow the conference via the hashtag #lilac15.

The following week (w/c 13th April) I will be away from Wednesday to Friday inclusive, but I wil be around on both Monday and Tuesday of that week.

As a result, I will obviously not be able to arrange any one-to-one sessions during this period (other than 13th and 14th April). If you have any specific queries, they can be directed to the Ask A Librarian service using the “Email a Librarian” option. If you need to arrange a one-to-one session and are available either on the 13th or the 14th then feel free to tweet me and let me know that you want to book a session as I will be checking Twitter whilst I am at the conference. If you’re not on Twitter, just drop me an email and let me know your availability and I’ll try to make arrangements while I am away.

Whilst I am here, I’d also like to point you in the direction of #UELGetReady on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. Throughout the course of April and May, we will be sharing top tips, handy hints and useful information that can help you be prepared for the hectic end of year period. You don’t need to be on Twitter to follow the tips, you can just visit the feed for the hashtag, or save it in your bookmarks. I’d definitely recommend checking in and, if you are on Twitter, why not share your top tips?

Lastly, do check out my recent literature overview of World Autism Awareness Day. I’ve picked out a range of useful resources on the topic, including online resources, research and information on support for people with autism. Again, if you would like help with your literature searching, do let me know and I’ll be more than happy to help.

Enjoy the Easter holidays and do check in after the Easter break as I have a very interesting post lined up when I return!
